If the Navajo Nation, 350,000 people strong, were counted as a separate state, only a few could come close to it in the intensity of its outbreak of Covid-19. Caseloads and death counts are slowing, and Searchlight NM journalist Sunnie Clahchischiligi says, a lot of that is due to how hard and well the Navajo have fought back against the coronavirus. |
