Hepatitis C is now a curable disease, but the cure demands months of regular treatments.  How convenient that so many of New Mexico’s Hep C patients are in prison, where follow-up treatments can be administered.  Or could be.  But of 3000 cases, only 46 are getting medical care. Investigative reporter Ted Alcorn of NM In Depth on medical neglect that may be unconstitutional.  NM’s Corrections Department is fearful of a court ruling and the potential medical bill.
