Here And There with Dave Marash

In 1946 William Perry enlisted in the US Army and was sent to Japan.  There he lived the grunt’s life of collaborative survival and saw first-hand, the horrors of nuclear war.  Both experiences shaped his career as an entrepreneur and Secretary of Defense, building better homes for non-commissioned officers and helping disarm the weapons of the cold war.  The latter feat was achieved through co-operation with Russia…amost inconceivable, he admits unhappily, today.
